Frequently Asked Questions

  • My practice is fully virtual which gives all Albertans the ability to connect with me.

  • You can use a computer/laptop, a smart phone or a tablet. Sessions are completed online through the Jane system. It is recommended to use Google Chrome when logging into Jane, but please experiment to see what is best for you! I suggest testing your connection and log in about 10 minutes before the first session to make sure you can get connected and to give a chance to troubleshoot before the session.

  • You can book online HERE, or at the end of each session we can book the next appointment together and you will get an email with the date/time of the appointment, as well as reminder messages leading up to the appointment.

  • I charge $200/50 minute therapy session. This can be paid by credit card or e-transfer.

  • Psychology sessions can be billable under your extended health plan. Some providers allow for direct billing, and some don't. Currently, I can direct bill to: Alberta Blue Cross, Beneva, Canada Life, Desjardins, First Canadian, Industrial Alliance, Johnson Group, Manulife, Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), RWAM Insurance and Union Benefits. If you don't see your provider listed please reach out - I am always happy to connect with insurance plans to see if direct billing arrangements can be made. In the case that your plan does not allow for direct billing, I will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your provider for reimbursement.

  • I charge $100 for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours, and $200 for non-attended "no-show" appointments. Exceptions can be granted in the case of emergency. As my commitment to you, if I late cancel on you, your next session fee will be reduced to $100.

  • You will need a quiet and private space with minimized interruptions. Having a secure and reliable internet connection as well as access to a device with both audio and video capabilities is required. Having a notebook or notes app handy will help you jot down key ideas that stand out for your in our time together. Taking a couple of minutes after the session to write down any take aways or reflections can be helpful at reinforcing the main thoughts and feelings that came up for you, and help you use the ideas from therapy throughout the coming days. You might also use your notebook to keep track of key themes or experiences that you would like to discuss in future sessions.

Note: You must not be operating a vehicle at the time of our sessions. This will require cancellation and enforcement of cancellation fees.
